The Infinite Abyss - Cartoon/Comic Style 12/18/2009
I've always wanted to live simply, and of course Iconic imagery and branding is key to the things that I love and am inspired by, so i'm going to take things a step further. Like Doug Funny and many other cartoon/comic characters, I'm slowly going to simplify my dress style to almost the same thing everyday... other than on special occasions.  Black Kung Fu Jacket (i've experimented with red in the past, but it's too loud for an everyday thing Any kind of T - Shirt, but primarily black and/or white shirts MY MAGIC SHOES  This is undoubtedly my favorite band of all-time. They had an immeasurable influence in my love for loving music as well as for creating it. "G. Love & Special Sauce" should go down in history for not only having the coolest band name of all-time, but for pioneering the Hip Hop-Blues sound that absolutely no one else has been able to produce. My dogs name is G. Love btw. Don't sleep on the dudes. Interactive cameras with ads or displays are about to become a lot more common. Cameras are getting pretty cheap   For those not familiar with the work of David Bryne and/or Talking Heads. This film is a must see. I remember cognitively seeing Stop Making Sense for the 1st time my senior year of high school. I have faint memories as a child, seeing David Byrne in the oversized suit, so I'm sure MTV used to play the movie back in the day. But anyway... David Byrne is a creative genius of music, dance, and concept art. Him, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, and Bruce Lee set the blueprint for my creativity. This concert film will blow your mind no matter what type of music you listen to. Actually if you can tell me with a straight face that you don't like it, i'll give you $5, for real.  I feel like not enough people pay attention to how amazing Daft Punk's helmets are. They cost $65,000 for a reason. Not many artists these days invest that much into their music, much less their visual aesthetic appeal. But as you can see, crafting a vision for your audience is very important. Daft Punk probably wouldn't be nearly as successful without their trademark helmets. The Gorillaz wouldn't be nearly as successful without being cartoons. It matters. We yearn to see what we hear, and now more and more the world is providing us the tools to manifest our "audiovisions". Somethin to think about. Watch this video...   I'm just gonna let the music speak for itself, but I will say that these guys are definitely pioneering the FRESHEST sounds I've heard in a loooooong time. Sit back and relax. Washed Out - Pitchfork article Toro y Moi - is buzzin on Hype Machine. My favorite is his cover of Michael Jackson's Human Nature of course - the best Human Nature cover besides Miles Davis and John Mayer.
